Hunger Action Month Watch: Oneida, Sodexo Foundation Champion Cause to Fight Hunger

Oneida, a division of EveryWare Global and National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show exhibiting company have teamed up with the Sodexo Foundation and Food Bank of Central New York in honor of Hunger Action Month to fight hunger. 

"Our goal is to reduce the number of families and children at risk of hunger by raising awareness and giving back to aid the success of hunger fighting programs," said Amy Gebhardt, Director of Public Relations for Oneida. "Last year, Oneida was proud to generate donations exceeding $10,000. We are dedicated to growing these incredible efforts each year." 

The company's effort includes activities to benefit both national and local communities. With the third annual Pass the Plate program, Oneida will donate a percentage of sales to the Sodexo Foundation. 

In Oneida's retail store, the Spoonful for Hunger program contributes 10 percent of all sales on Wednesdays from September through December, to the Food Bank of CNY. The company's warehouse locations and brand partner Anchor Hocking will duplicate food program donation efforts in ther local communities. 

With hunger relief initiatives reaching across the country, these partnerships will allow Oneida to aid in creativing a positive impact throughout the communities that these organizations serve.
