You have read "IWSB" numerous times on this blog, but you may have found yourself scratching your head in confusion. What exactly is IWSB?
Hopefully you can get a good idea from its Web site, www.winespiritsbeer.org. It reads, "The new International Wine, Spirits & Beer Event at NRA Show 2008 is the first forum focusing exclusively on restaurant and hospitality operator beverage alcohol sales."
In other words, beverage distributor, meet restaurant/hospitality owner. Restaurant/hospitality owner, say hello to beverage distributor.
The folks that brought you NRA Show 2008 hope that this two-day event will facilitate idea-generation and relationship-formation and cultivation in a unique, professional setting.
Just like the NRA Show, IWSB will ahave its own set of fabulous education sessions. The one we are looking forward to most is Hot New Trends in Beverage Alcohol at 12:30 p.m. Monday, May 19. We know vodka is as hot as ever, but else should we be keeping our eye out for?
The IWSB ribbon-cutting ceremony is 11 a.m. Monday, May 19 in the North Hall, Level 3 (entrance adjacent to NRA Show Booth 6782). It will definitely be one of the more hip happenings at McCormick Place.
And in case you can't wait until then, make yourself an IWSB Martini.
