Germs are at the National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show.
Actually, they're actors dressed as giant germs, "demonstrating" against long-time exhibitor Sani Professional. "Protect yourself," shouts Eli Coli, who tried a few days ago to friend us on Facebook.
Eli Coli and his buds, Liz Teria, Ryan A. Virus, Ann Fluenza and Sal Monella, are "protesting" the germ-killing" products made by the Orangeburg, N.J., company. They chant and shout at company reps manning the Sani Professional booth. "This man killed our community. He's a germicidal maniac."
The clever take on food safety products draws NRA Show attendees, who interrupt the "demonstrations" to pose for pictures with the giant germs. But did Eli Coli tried to friend them?
It's a pretty big message that they are sending showing up at a restaurant, hotel, motel show. I would take notice.
